* World No. 1 Roger Federer will retain his ranking if he reaches the semifinals, regardless of the results of other players
* World No. 2 Rafael Nadal will be the new No. 1 if he wins the French Open and Federer fails to reach the semis
* World No. 3 Novak Djokovic will be the new No. 1 if he wins the French Open and Federer fails to reach the quarterfinals
